Julius Mergen is an industrial designer based in Münster, Germany.
His work focuses on lighting, furniture, accessories, and everyday objects, with a particular interest in technical products and manufacturing processes. Form is understood as emerging from use, construction, and material.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at the Münster School of Design in 2023 and graduated with a Master’s degree in 2025. He gained professional experience at Donnerblitz Design and at the Social Design Research Lab. His work aims to result in objects that are coherent in use and consistent in construction.
