How can thoughts and feelings be made tangible?

InsideOut is a modular reflection board developed to support self-reflection through physical interaction. Personal thoughts, feelings and experiences often remain intangible and difficult to articulate. Using magnetic sliders, rewritable tags and journal cards, the system helps make these inner processes visible and tangible over time.

Designed as an integrated system, it combines different reflection tools within a single interface. A magnetic clamping mechanism allows notes and cards to be attached, repositioned and moved together, supporting flexible and adaptable use.

Developed over the course of a one-year co-design process.
